Hi G400x2! Welcome to the forums! Nice shots you have there. Went to China on a holiday trip?

nice shot. i love birding but no long zoom le. have to use my ol’ oly750 liao. Since you;ve created a bird shot topic, i might as well post some of my old bird photos taken mostly with my oly750 in my backyard. they are birds commonly found in miri.

Asian Glossy Starling

Yellow Vented Bulbul

Woodpecker

Tailor Bird

Common Tree Sparrow

Tq… holiday and work … i got lots of china shot, will share later…

Good shot and well composed! Keep it up and please do share more of your pictures.

Relaxjack, your shots are amazing! You are already taking great pic with your current lens. With a zoom, I am sure you are going to take even better picture.

Wow, that many birds exist in your backyard?

well, these birds are everywhere. just have to look out for them. hehe

Birds around the Argyle Diamonds Mine, Western Australia.

peter; u work in mining field?

Yes.

perth right? wow…errr which part of perth?

Argyle is located in the East Kimberley Region of Western Australia, on a map it close to the top end of WA right at the boarder with the Northern Territory. Look for Lake Argyle which is where the mine got its name from. We’re just south west of the lake.

It’s 3 hours flying time from Perth.

wow…tat is far !

Yep, WA is very big and empty - population =2.5 million, where 2 million lives in Perth. There’s lot of mines in WA and most are located far away from Perth. Most engineers fly in and out of the mine sites.

Wow, and it’s still in Perth. Here in Miri that’s like flying to Kuching, back to Miri and flying to Kuching again.

EDIT: Oh wait, I neglected to ask what kind of plane do you use - - anyways, that’s still pretty far out

interesting “bird shots” you got there, Peter Choy…
