Bintang Heart Run gets more corporate sponsorships

MIRI: Corporate sponsorships continued to pour in yesterday for Bintang Heart Run, which will be held on May 29 this year.

The latest to join the bandwagon were Indocafé, Julie’s Hershey, and Lucozade. Representatives from these firms handed their sponsorships to Bintang Megamall and Meritz Hotel general manager John Teo. Bintang Megamall’s senior event executive Allen Wong was also present.

“Bintang Heart Run is to commemorate the shopping mall’s 20th anniversary. The support from sponsors makes this special occasion even more meaningful,” Wong said.

“In addition to door gifts for all participants and hampers to the winners of all categories, Indocafé and Lucozade will be there to provide a free flow of drinks to participants to quench their thirst.”

Wong added that being America’s most popular sports drinks, Lucozade would be given to runners at water stations to help replenish water and salt loss during the run. He hoped more companies would chip in for the charity run to raise funds for several charitable bodies in the city.

To keen participants, he advised them to take grab the early bird promotion, which is RM50 per pax. The promotion is now open and ends on April 11.

Thereafter, the registration fee will be RM60 per pax, and the last day to register is April 24.

Each participant is entitled to a t-shirt and door gift, and those who complete the run get finisher medals.Entry forms are now available at Bintang Megamall information counter (next to giant Supermarket) and Share Tea (Boulevard Commercial Centre).
