Bill Kayong murder: Another suspect nabbed

KUCHING: Police on Sunday arrested a youth believed to be involved in the murder of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Miri branch secretary Bill Kayong.
State Crime Investigation Department (CID) chief, SAC Dev Kumar Sree Shunmugam in a press statement said the 27-year-old suspect was arrested by the operational team of the Task Force that was investigating the murder case at a restaurant at Jalan Bendahara in Miri at around 6.00pm.
“The suspect was arrested for questioning in connection with the murder. He will be produced in the Miri Magistrate Court today for remand,” he said.
Dev Kumar said the youth was the ninth suspect to be arrested by police.
“Eight suspects are currently under custody, including the latest suspect. Investigation is still ongoing and we expect to submit our findings to the Deputy Public Prosecutor sometime this week,” he said.
