Bazaar could be benchmark for Miri Unity Chapter

MIRI: The overwhelming momentum of the 2015 Miri Gawai Dayak Bazaar could be a benchmark for the future of the Miri Unity Chapter (MUC), which initiated the event.

It will be the pride of all Dayaks in the state and country, said Deputy Public ProsecutorRobert Pasang Alam, who is an affiliate member of MUC attached in Kuala Lumpur.

I hope the success of the

bazaar could spur the organiser forward in ensuring that the success of the community concerned would be on par with othercommunities in various fields.

Your success is the pride of all Dayaks, he said in his speech at the opening ceremony of the bazaar on Saturday.

Robert commended MUC for bravely embarking on the tough task to hold the event without the support from the governmentin terms of funds.

To facilitate and manage such an initiative of this scale, considering the constraints of money, manpower and otherswas no easy feat, he asserted.

Thumbs-up to the working committee and all those involved for the splendid job in making the event a great success, Robert acknowledged.

The event is run byMUC, in collaboration withPermy Mall management andMiri City Council (MCC).

Robert was impressed by the cooperation and unity of the Dayaks in joining hands for the project.

This project shows the true colours and image of theDayaks overall, showcased through their good teamwork, he said.
