Barnett Ling wins S’wak Senior Amateur

KUCHING: Barnett Ling Soon Kiong emerged as the winner of the main category Gross (36 Holes) of the Sarawak Senior Amateur golf tournament held at Sarawak Kuching Golf Club (KGS) starting Saturday.
Barnett amassed a total of 155 points in the Gross (36 Holes) category of the two-day event to beat closest rival, Abu Bakar Kiprawi who also collected 155 points but lost on countback.
In third place was Abdul Aziz Sahari with 158 points.
Meanwhile, Kuan Kim Long was the winner for the Nett (36 Holes) category with 135 points followed by Yakob Jalel with a 141 and James Sinjeng third with 143 points.
The Sarawak Senior Amateur tournament this year for the Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Wong Soon Kai Cup saw participation by 31 senior amateur golfers from Kuching Sibu, Miri, and Bintulu.
