oh yeah, may l know when they started charging either from tax or pay RM50.00 per cc ar?

l want to settle all and surrender before it happen.

Went to Hong Leong bank just now to cancel my credit card cos very seldom use and now government want to charge RM50.
Checked with the bank's officer that lots of people have been cancelling their cards...
Am going to cancel my Public Bank card too... Left with 3 cards now...

As I know, RM50 service tax is wef 01.01.2010. So, cancel by this year end.

yea many ppl cancel. i wld say, maintain at least 2 cards. 1 local bank and 1 foreign bank. i've shortlisted to 2 of the best, i'll keep HSBC and CIMB.

i wudnt cancel 1st. will only cancel next mth. there is possibility tat the bank will absorb the service charges impose by government.

there isnt any news stating tat bank cant absorb it.. bank use it absorb the annual fee charges by giving free annual fee..

I would keep Citibank and either Maybank or Public Bank.

I guess later bank will pay for us, or gov cancel it just like they cancel the retesting for 15yrs cars.

tis BN gov lanjau la.. i own 10+ cards. i 'm going to cut it till 3 - 4 cards. mana mampu...RM50 each card.

50 only applicable on ur card annual renewal time . not 01.01.2010 lah.
