- Everyone is eligible to send in photos of their dogs but only those residing in Miri will receive the prizes. No physical prizes will be sent through mail.
- Pictures are to be of your dog. Only photos of dogs will be included in this contest. PLEASE NO PHOTOS WITH HUMANS INCLUDED AND DO NOT ADD TEXT or DATES TO YOUR PHOTOS. IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL QUOTE, PUT IT IN YOUR DESCRIPTION NOT ON THE PHOTO.
- You only have to enter once. Unless you have another picture you want to send. We keep all entries on file. We review old and new entries each month as we pick our next DOG OF THE MONTH winner.
- To enter by Email: send a digitized (scanned or from a digital camera) photo of your dog to dog@miricommunity.net . Please send photo in a JPG or PNG format only.

- No artificial or real fur as props.
- As this is not a best costumes contest, you are not to dress your dog. The conditions of the coat, weight, pigmentation may affect judges’ decision.
- No fancy frames ( flowers, leafs, ribbons, hearts, and etc ) are allowed on the pictures. However, if you prefer to add frames, only solid colors are acceptable.
- Digitally enhanced pictures to improve the color or quality of the pictures are permissible. However, modifications on the dog itself are not acceptable.
- Winner will be disqualified should he/she fail to prove the existence of the dog or if the dog is deceased upon verification by organizer.
- PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: If your dog is dark in color, use a light background. If your pet is a light color, use a dark background. It is very hard to distinguish a dark dog when the photo is taken against a dark background. Make sure you have good lighting when taking your snap shots. Having a good contrast will help your photo stand out among the others. Make them unique.
- Please complete information about your dog. Email your information to dog@miricommunity.net For example: the dog’s name, age, breed, and your particulars and what your pet likes to do the most.

Terms & Conditions
- The Contest is governed by these rules, terms and conditions (the "Official Rules"). By participating in the Contest, you agree to these Official Rules and the decision of the judges which are final and binding. The Organizer reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, in the event of fraud, technical or other difficulties or if the integrity of the Contest is compromised, without liability to the participant.
- Contest Period. The Contest begins on April 15, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. local time and ends on May 15, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. local time (contest period). All registration attempts made outside the Contest Period are void.
- Participation; Eligibility. To participate in the Contest, you must (i) be a legal resident of Malaysia, (ii) be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry; (iii) go to the Contest website (the "Contest Site") and following the instructions register as a participant and complete and submit an entry as specified. Participants violating any of these Official Rules may be disqualified.
Submitted Image. By entering the Contest, you expressly agree not to submit an image or content ("Submission") that is unlawful, libelous, slanderous, defamatory or invasive of another person's right of privacy or right of publicity, or that organizer may reasonably deem harmful, vulgar, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, objectionable with respect to race, religion, creed, national origin or gender, or otherwise unfit for publication. Organizer shall not be liable in any way for a Submission. Organizer shall have no obligation to monitor the Submission provided by you to Organizer, but may do so at their discretion. Any Submission that, in the sole discretion of Organizer is considered inappropriate or unsuitable for publication will be deemed ineligible by Organizer, and Organizer may, in their sole discretion, remove a Submission from the Contest Site. The Organizer will not return any Submissions submitted on or through the Contest Site. - Except where prohibited, by entering this Contest, you consent to the use of your name, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, winning entry and statements attributed to winner (if true) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation. As such, you hereby grant to Organizer a non-exclusive, fully transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty free, fully paid up right and license to adapt, edit, modify, publish, promote, reproduce, distribute, publicly display and perform and make derivative works based on your Submission in any and all media as Organizer sees fit for any reason, to identify you as the author of the Submission and to authorize others to do any of the above without any obligation to compensate you.

The information submitted by you during the registration process includes your name and email address ("Personal Information") and will only be used by organizer in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and the Privacy Policy of each of their websites, for the purposes of administrating your participation in the Contest.
