What syllabus from form 1 ~ form 3 you required to be pro in add-maths??

I heard that you need to be good in Algebraic stuff for add-maths.. Is it true?

As an engineer and now businessman haha, i can share with you about this add maths thing in real life.

First, i score 100 in maths and almost fail in add maths, even teacher puzzled.

Why you need to do well in add math ? Well, simple, to get into a good uni and score good results and come out get good money job (and your ptptn will become scolarship too). Else, ur basic salary here in sarawak can hardly reach 1.5k.

When come to work, you can forget all of it as nowadays all maths questions are solved using softwares such as maple or matlab. So it's better if you can learn how to use these software/ programmes.

When you are boss, you can get someone to solve it for you, with or without softwares at your own choice.

Summary: without add maths, you cant get good degree from good uni then lower pay

Other than that, quite useless actually unless you become lecturer one day.

add maths so difficult ka? haih.. u will see much tougher maths in engineering courses when u proceed into higher learning institutes. now focus on your study, get prepared for your SPM. once u have entered any unis then u will realize how easy add maths is.

btw, since im taking mechanical engineering, majoring in automotive. here are few subjects that requires basics from add maths in SPM:

- engineering maths
- statics
- dynamics
- statistics
- solid mechanics
- motor vehicle dynamics
- numerical method
- control and instrumentation engineering
- vehicle dynamics
- automotive component design
- vehicle structure analysis
- internal combustion engine
- vehicle powertrain (engine and transmission)
- chassis and suspension

now u can see how add maths helped me a lot to cover all of this subjects.

yeah i agree with J.Howard. in term of automotive, add maths is widely used starting from small components (bolts and nats) until the chassis.

u wanna make the bolt for ferrari wheels, u need to use add maths. u dun just casting the metal to make the bolt.

Now that sounds hard then...for those you really want to take mekanikal engineering in cars really need to study on maths really hard especially add maths....
