Kuantan Rangers and Miri FA set to finally make BFL debuts

KUANTAN Rangers and Miri FA will be making their long-awaited debut in the Brunei Futsal League (BFL) today.

The two Malaysian teams were supposed to join at the start of the 10-team BFL on April 16 but were unable to do so due to a technical error.

Kuantan Rangers start their campaign with a game against RizFiz FT today, take on the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) tomorrow and face Miri FA in their third game on Sunday.

All three games are scheduled to kick off at 7pm at the Multipurpose Hall (Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex).

Miri FA face bottom-of-the-table Najip FC today and Kota Junior tomorrow.

Both games are scheduled for 9pm at the Multipurpose Hall.

The updated schedule and standings are available on www.nfabd.org.

NFABD invited Kuantan Rangers and Miri FA to compete in the BFL to raise the league’s standard of play and provide exposure for NFABD’s national development team – which is currently in Bangkok competing in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-20 Futsal Championship.

Kuantan Rangers played an exhibition game against reigning BFL champions Kota Junior on April 15 which they lost 3-2.

The home and away format in this year’s BFL will see each team play 18 games.
