Body of teen girl attacked by crocodile recovered


MIRI, Feb 22 — The body of a teenage girl was found floating this morning in the Sungai Tapang Peking Baram in Marudi after she was attacked by a crocodile while bathing with her mother yesterday.

Marudi Fire and Rescue Department chief Zulbada Alior said the body of Agnes Luang, 17, was found at 11.10am about two kilometres from where she was attacked.

The body was in good condition with only a crocodile bite on it, he told Bernama when contacted today. 

In the 6.30pm incident, the victim, who was waiting for the results of her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, was attacked and dragged underwater by a crocodile while bathing in the river near the Rumah Panjang Japang. — Bernama
